Welcome to the SANP section.

The South African National Parks Board (SANP) is the largest of its kind in Africa. Employing a great deal of people it manages a great number of nature reserves throughout the country. From the enormous Kruger National Park and Kalahari Gemsbok National Park to the smaller national parks found for instance in the middle of Cape Town. The role it plays in the Kruger National Park is essential. As explained in the history section nature depends on the South African National Parks board fully to maintain its vast number of animal species as well as natural diversity.

The South African National Parks board being a non governmental organisation is usually short of funds. Hopefully tourism will contribute to enlarging nature reserves by using the accommodation offered by the parks themselves or booking their travels at operators who have a good relationship with the various parks. Read the news section within Kruger Safari to stay updated on news concerning the South African National Parks Board or check their website.
